Back up your wallet

Your recovery seed is the master key to your wallet. Write every word in the correct order on the backup card, then keep it somewhere private and secure. Never photograph it, save it online, or share it with anyone—not even someone claiming to be support.

A hardware wallet keeps your private keys offline, but a few good habits make a big difference. Only install software from Trezor’s official website. Confirm addresses on your device screen before approving a transaction. Keep your recovery seed offline, out of sight, and away from water or fire.

Trezor will never ask you to type your recovery seed into a website, send it in a message, or reveal it over the phone. If anyone asks for those words, stop: it’s a scam. If you have questions, reach Trezor Support through the official support page.
